I go to Green Valley School, and I am in the fifth grade. I like all of my subjects, but my favorite is science. I love learning about plants, animals, and the stars. My science teacher, Mrs. Wilson, makes the lessons fun. She brings real plants and insects to the classroom so we can study them closely. Sometimes, we even do experiments. Last week, we learned how to grow a plant using just water. It was amazing to see the roots appear after a few days!

We have science twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday. On these days, I always look forward to going to school. After the lesson, I like to read more about what we learned. My favorite science topic is space. I enjoy looking at pictures of planets and stars, and I hope to visit a planetarium someday.

My friends also like science, but they prefer other subjects like math or history. I think science is the best because it helps us understand the world around us. One day, I want to become a scientist and work in a lab. I want to discover new things and help people.
