A trip to the Mountains
Last weekend, my family and I went to the mountains for a short vacation. We left our house early in the morning and packed our car with backpacks, food, and sleeping bags. The drive to the mountains was beautiful. We passed green fields, small villages, and even a river. After two hours, we arrived at a small cabin surrounded by tall pine trees. It was quiet and peaceful, with fresh air and birds singing all around us.
On the first day, we decided to go hiking. The trail started behind our cabin and led to a lake at the top of the hill. As we walked, we saw wildflowers, butterflies, and even a family of deer. My little brother, who loves animals, was so excited. The hike was a bit tiring, but when we reached the lake, it was worth it. The water was crystal clear, and we could see fish swimming near the shore. We sat down, had a snack, and took lots of pictures.
In the evening, we built a campfire outside the cabin. My dad grilled sausages, and my mom prepared a salad. After dinner, we roasted marshmallows and told stories under the stars. The sky was so clear that we could see hundreds of stars, something we never see in the city. It was magical.
The next day, we explored a nearby waterfall. The sound of the water was so loud, and the mist felt cool on our faces. My brother and I tried to skip stones on the water, but we weren’t very good at it. Before we left, we took one last walk around the area to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The trip to the mountains was amazing, and I hope we can do it again soon. It was a perfect way to relax and spend time with my family.
