I work at a small café near my house. It is my first job, and I started working here two months ago. I was very nervous on my first day, but now I feel more confident. I work three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. My job is to take orders from customers, serve coffee and tea, and clean the tables after people leave. The café has a cozy atmosphere, with soft music playing in the background and warm lights hanging from the ceiling. I like the way it smells—like fresh coffee and baked bread.

In the mornings, the café is always busy because many people stop by to grab a cup of coffee on their way to work. Some customers like to sit and read the newspaper or work on their laptops. Others come with friends to chat while enjoying their drinks. My job keeps me active all the time. I have to remember what each customer orders and make sure they get their drinks quickly. Sometimes I get nervous when it’s very busy, but my boss is kind and patient. She always helps me if I make a mistake, like giving someone the wrong order.

My favorite part of the job is meeting different people. Some customers come every day, and I already know their names and their favorite drinks. For example, Mr. Johnson always orders a cappuccino, and Ms. Emily loves green tea. They are very friendly and always ask how my day is going.

At the end of my shift, I help clean the café. I sweep the floors, wipe the tables, and wash the cups and plates. It is a little tiring, but I don’t mind. I feel proud when the café looks clean and ready for the next day. I am also saving the money I earn to buy a new bicycle. It feels good to have a job and earn my own money. Working at the café has taught me how to be responsible and work as part of a team.
